First, the necklace is a petite French Rope style necklace which is so small that the design of the chain lengths cannot be seen with the naked eye. It is only visible using a magnifying glass such as a 10 power jewelers loupe. The linking of the chain makes it appear as a rope.

Second, the Sterling Silver Pendant is designed as a scalloped round pendant with a visible hook and a round center piece being made of Ancient Roman Glass dug up by archeologists. The broken pieces are bonded together into a translucent glass which displays the various colors in an irregular and eye catching way. In a couple of the pictures, I have used some back lighting to show the different colors and translucency of the glass insert.

The pendants bent hook is a part of the overall appearance and adds an extra dimension to its design. The hook opening can accommodate any necklace or closure up to 6mm and it can also be widened to a larger size if needed. And, on the bottom of the pendant there are three small eyes to use for dangles in you want to modify the necklace/pendant design. Overall, a very attractive and functional piece of jewelry.
