Blue Lace Agate is a variety of Chalcedony which is a micro-crystalline form of the mineral Quartz. And, it is a very tough gem which along with its beauty adds to its value. It has a very soft blue primary color with darker blue and white banding which displays a lace like pattern. A very peaceful, blissful, and calming gemstone. It is a translucent to opaque gem with a vitreous (glassy) finish which really reflects its beautiful lace pattern .
